POST 1 HONOR GUARD

The Honor Guard has unfortunately been busy this yer. They have rendered rifle services at numerous funerals. Our veterans are getting older and passing away at an increasing rate. It is the Honor Guards privilege to present the flag of our country (and perform the rifle volley) to the relatives of eligible veterans upon their passing.

The Post Honor Guard has had a change of command. After several years of dedicated service to the team and the post, Bill Clark has stepped down and retired from the Honor Guard. The new commander is James (Jim) Erb.

The Post Honor Guard is looking for new members. If you can be a part of this team we would welcome your participation. If you are free days or have a work schedule that is flexible and you can take time off during the day we would appreciate hearing from you about this important detail. Even if you can only get time to help out once or twice a month we can work you into the rotation. The more people who are part of the team the easier it is to provide the details our veterans deserve.
